from the bay to the east
I would like to dedicate this blog to several elements in my life.
First to the sky, moon and stars for watching over me , for helping me understand more about myself and the earth. For being a hippie dippy lady.
I would like to thank my experience in the bay area. You opened up my eyes more than you'll ever know. I miss taking rides in the middle of the night listening to the Smiths with Lita, and getting coffee all the way in San Jose. I miss getting semi naked at Mills Parties. I miss my rooms, the ones I was in when I lived there. I miss Founder's breakfast and hearing all the stories from the night before. I miss hairy lesbian girls who argued in class about not being rasist because they spent the summer in South Africa. gETTING BUBBLE TEA. Going to Berkeley and seeing movies alone. Eating the best Thai food at Lotus Flower in Piedmont. Miss all the queer classes I took with all beautiful girls. Taking film classes with Fred Frith and other famous people. Having Joanna Newsom in poetry class with you. I miss Miko's insane remarks about lily marie, we all know how rude she was. All the weirdos I dated. Those weird moments at Frat parties, with Carolyn, kate and Asra. Going to Amoeba and buying out the store. Getting a piercing every spring. The night when 20 mills ladies went to see " Underworld" and we were all laughing at the underlining racism in the movie, while everyone else was pissed off. Being told I was going to go to a movie and instead was taken to sex clubs. Missing my holocaust class because I couldn' deal with watching people getting killed every thursday for 4 hours..and still getting an A. Going to the beaches and being blown away by the massive winds. I miss the trees. My mills ladies, Erika, Vince, Johnathon, Tim, and the rest of you ...... you are loved.
To my old and new friends in nyc, I don't want to fall out of touch, so keep in touch., I don't care if you are getting laid, pregant, working , studying, masterbating, overeating, starving, etc...... CALL A SISTAH...... I love you all as well.
