Kanye West, New Orleans and the state of this motherfucking country Current mood: angry
I am in bitter tears, streaming from my eyes, stinging my throat, because I am in utter rage over what is going on in New Orleans. Condi and Bush were at photo shoots and shopping while thousands of people were dying and trying to survive. It doesn't matter, though, right, because barely anyone in New Orleans voted for Bush and 75% of the people there are black. It also doesn't help that it's one of the poorest city in the United States. I mean what the fuck, there is no one over there helping them, they aren't letting The Red Cross in, cops are quitting, they didn't start sending in the national guard until several days later. Basically Bush is telling everyone " Die Nigger, because I don't care, what's one less Nigger in this world".
I see my generation divided between two types of people : Those who care and those who don't.Don't be apathatic, stop worrying about your clothes, we are going to be in deep shit if we don't stand up and do something. I don't even know what else to say. We need to educate ourselves and not forget that we share this earth with others. Money isn't everything. So if you have some extra time, bucks whatever try and help the people in New Orleans. The world shouldn't revolve around how cute you look in your fake bohemian chic Urban Outfitters outfits!!!!!
STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND SERVE SOME......
